ICSC Ukraine Research Group launched the classification of shopping centers in Ukraine

ICSC Ukraine Research Croup is a research group established in June 2013 as part of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) to study the Ukrainian market of shopping centers and to standardize the data, continues to work actively.
In May 2014, ICSC Ukraine Research Group, consisting of specialists from leading companies of developers and consultants: JLL, CBRE, Colliers, Budhouse Group and Immochan, led by Dmitry Topolsky who is the Director of Ukrainian Research Bureau, representative of Budhouse Group, began work on the classification shopping centers in Ukraine.
Earlier, the National Committee of ICSC in Ukraine raised the question of the practical need for the classification of existing trade objects in Ukraine in accordance with the international classification of ICSC shopping centers.
In August 2013, a classification for the Ukrainian market was adopted at the meeting of the ICSC Ukraine Research Group.
Thus, the task of ICSC Ukraine Reseach Group is to prepare and provide the global community of developers and retailers with systematized information about existing trading facilities in Ukraine, which will make it possible to familiarize with the existing offer and attract new international investors and retailers.
At this time, ICSC Ukraine Reseach Group specialists are at the stage of creating a single database of shopping facilities in Ukraine, combining the existing databases of developers and consultants, and on the basis of the data obtained, they classify.
The next stage of work will be the confirmation of data from the owners of shopping facilities and the inclusion of classified shopping centers in the ICSC database.
Members of the National Council of Ukraine ICSC are already representatives of such Ukrainian companies as: Immoshan, Ukrainian Trade Guild, Budhouse Group, DTZ, Colliers International, CBRE, EAST GATEDEVELOPMENT, ConcernAvecandCoJsc, Arricano, MultiCorporation, JonesLangLasalle, RetailSystems, Arzinger, Zyros, Zones DCSUkraine and others.
“The association of developers and retailers into the Council of Shopping Centers in Ukraine (ICSC) is an access to the educational program (ICSC), a good basis for sharing experience and valuable contacts that expand Ukraine’s investment opportunities” - commented Philip Bertere, head of the National Committee of the ICIS in Ukraine.
The International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) - was founded in 1957 and currently unites 25 national and regional trading centers around the world. The organization has 60,000 members in more than 90 countries around the world, including shopping center owners, developers, managers, marketing specialists, investors, retailers, high school employees and public figures.
The purpose of the organization is to promote the development of the global retail and retail real estate development industry.
