Opened in 2012, Fabrika Shopping Mall became a landmark infrastructure and social project for the region. The total area of the complex was 82,000 sq. m, with a leasable area of 65,500 sq. m. The mall brought together over 400 stores, modern entertainment infrastructure, and served as an important hub for family leisure, shopping, and city events.
In 2022, the building sustained significant damage as a result of Russian aggression. Despite this, representatives of Budhouse Group announced their readiness to restore the facility from the first months after the city’s de-occupation. A reconstruction project has already been developed, with the investment volume estimated at approximately €20 million. Construction works may begin once the security situation in the region stabilizes.
“Fabrika has always been more than just a shopping mall. It was a symbol of Kherson’s development and belief in its economic potential. Today, we have a clear reconstruction plan and are ready to invest in rebuilding. Once security conditions are restored, we will return a modern space to the city — one that will be even more advanced, technological, and comfortable than before,” commented Maksym Havriushyn, Chief Operating Officer of Budhouse Group.
The restored Fabrika will meet new standards of safety, energy efficiency, and customer experience. The project includes modernization of engineering systems, обновление architectural solutions, and the creation of modern public spaces.
