On July 8, 2024, Russian troops fired an X-101 missile at Ukraine's largest children's hospital in Kyiv, OKHMATDYT.
The name "OKHMATDYT" is an acronym for "protection of motherhood and childhood". It is a Kyiv-based multidisciplinary diagnostic and treatment facility that is the largest children's hospital in the country and one of the largest in Europe.
Every year, 20-30 thousand children are treated there and about 7 thousand operations of varying complexity are performed.
The Ukrainian Council of Shopping Centers has launched a fundraiser to rebuild a children's hospital.
