Kharkiv shopping and recreation center “Nikolsky” set the National Record of Ukraine – The biggest construction in the form of the dome on building. The total area of the translucent design of the dome is 3200 sq.m. The main architect of the complex is the architectural bureau of Andrey Pashenko.
Experts have designed the metal structure of the roof - the dome on the roof of the building, covered with a transparent polymer membrane. It was possible to manufacture and install a unique dome thanks to the cooperation with the German company Vector Foiltec GMBH and its representative in Ukraine APRIORA.
The inner space of the “Nikolsky” shopping center is represented as a large atrium, in which five floors are connected by bridges. The atrium looks light due to large spans of metal structures covered with TEXLON translucent roofing system with 4 layers of ETFE polymer. Such a system consists of cushion membranes welded in an airtight manner and mounted using aluminum profiles supported by a lightweight supporting frame structure. The manufacture and installation of such a lightweight construction is unique, there are no analogues in Ukraine.

The Nikolsky shopping and entertainment center in Kharkiv celebrated its fifth anniversary since its opening. During this time, the complex has already welcomed more than 45 million visitors.
