Anatoliy Shkriblyak, President of Budhouse Group, reports a significant increase in the attendance of shopping and entertainment centers in the second half of October 2024, which occurred against the background of a sharp cold snap. The change in weather conditions influenced consumer behavior, because as the temperature drops, activity in malls increases.
"The season has shifted somewhat and the cold weather came later than we are used to. However, this gave us the opportunity to see an increase in attendance, which is a positive signal for the commercial real estate market", - Anatoliy Shkriblyak said.
Additionally, in September 2024, despite the general downward trend in footfall, the Retail Wellbeing Index (RWBI) increased by 0.2 points to 29.6. This indicates the stability of the market in the face of unpredictable changes, as REC occupancy and rental rates for vacant space also showed positive dynamics.
The RWBI index, developed by Ukrainian Council of Shopping Centers, is an important tool for tracking the state of the market, allowing to assess the level of retail health by key indicators such as footfall and vacancy rate.
Despite difficult economic times, Budhouse Group continues to focus on improving its projects and adapting to changes in the market situation. The company is working on revitalizing its shopping malls and implementing new projects, taking into account the needs of the market and consumers.
